We aim to relieve the needs of individuals and families affected by cancer, who are experiencing times of hardship, distress or vulnerable life conditions. Cancer Not Today is a charity of Kathy Wagstaff-Smith, who was sadly taken from us on 3rd October 2024, due to metastatic bone disease. This charity stands as Kathy's legacy, and we are committed to continuing the incredible work she carried out within our community.
Cancer Not Today is a registered charity in England and Wales (1215495)

Kathy's journey began in 2019, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the following month underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Throughout her treatment, Kathy remained incredibly positive. She decided to start a blog, CANCER NOT TODAY, where she shared her experiences with the aim of helping others navigate their own cancer journeys. Through her writing, Kathy also raised awareness about the importance of self-checking. Her voice inspired many-several individuals identified lumps and sought early treatment thanks to her message. In March 2022, Kathy received the wonderful news that no further treatment was needed. With renewed strength and positivity, she continued to support others facing cancer, while also raising funds for cancer charities-work proudly carry on today through CANCER NOT TODAY. Sadly, Kathy was re-diagnosed in March 2024. This time, the battle was one she could not win. But her spirit, determination, and kindness live on through the mission of this charitable organisation.
